Enter the world of "Cult of Choices",  where you've been chosen as the vessel for the ancient one, Cthulhu.

Over the course of a year, each month presents a unique challenge: you collect eldritch items, and it's up to you to decide which ones to gift to Cthulhu for the village's prosperity and which to keep.

Make the right choices, or face the wrath of cosmic ruin!

Nice game, I never realised how bad my brain is at holding information until I had to remember the 4 requirements Cthulhu had for a gift. I had fun with my playthrough, I was hoping that a perfect run would have resulted in Cthulhu refusing to leave after the year.

Good job on the jam game!

This is a pretty cool little game! I think the puzzles are really well balanced, starting off easy and then getting really demanding (no pun intended, xD).

I think the atmosphere is also pretty well achieved, there's still that horror and tension but the silence in the rounds allow me to think. Also, althought simple, the art style is effective and transmits what was needed.

Good job, Ricardo! It was a pleasure testing this game while you were working on it and now getting to play the final product!

In a lot fewer words than the other guy used: This is a fun little game.

But... you might want to grab a pen and paper to help out as you get later in the year.

Also, the instructions were confusing me a bit so to maybe help someone else: The riddles give you the criteria to match; and the negatives are absolute (three yes and one no equals no). The sole controls are to click or hit spacebar and to drag the card left or right.

If you are a fan of “Papers, please”, “No Umbrellas Allowed” or “Not Tonight”, this game is definitly for you.

With a core concept from those games and a input mechanic inspired from “Reigns” (Let’s be honest it’s Tinder actually), a cool twist on this genre where the challenge is, not only in identifying whether the item goes or stays, but also on decrypting what are the requirements for the items to either stay or go, and they change every month!

Where mistakes don’t go unpunished and good deeds rarely go rewarded it really stays on theme with its predecessors and this games story, where a village goes terrorized by an ancient godly creature and your goal is to displease it the least.

Simple, but really well drawn art, few but powerful animations and sound effects and a sound track that really puts the player in the perfect mood for this game.

There’s a lot of room to improve, such as adding more input options (arrows!), a more clear “tutorial”, replayability, different endings and unique items.

As a fan of all the games mentions previously, this game is now also a personal favourite, a game from a jam with a lot of potential to grow and expand its universe, game mechanics and flavour text ;)
